Spencer Gulf ferry services

Posted on 22. Jul, 2009 by Travel Mate in Water

Sea SA began its operations as the first ferry services across the Spencer Gulf in December 2006.

Sea SA offers packages for cruise / drives / stay holidays on the Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas. These include accommodation, discount ferry transfers and tours across the Spencer Gulf, between Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsulas and Lucky Bay (near Cowell) on the Eyre Peninsula. It is a fast and relaxing way of enjoying the Gulf-round trip.

Sea SA has 4 ferry services daily, 7 days a week. Sea SA also has a sister company, Sea SA Getaways, which offers free advice and reservation services for the various cruise / drive holidays on the Yorke and Eyre peninsulas.

One can stay in a luxury resort with ocean views or the Aussie motel style accommodation with all the comforts of home. One can try caravanning, camping, backpacking, and fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or 4WD safari tours, discover Australia’s seafood capital, the Eyre Peninsula, thrill at whale watching, local wineries or the spectacular Gawler Ranges. Several such facilities are offered at The Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas.

One can simply call Sea SA and book their services. Alternatively, the Sea Sa website also features an online booking service facility.

Sea SA has over 20 employees, most of which are local people. In the first 18 months of operation itself, Sea SA has carried over 120,000 passengers and 50,000 vehicles.

Sea SA has also received the 2006 AUSMEPA (Australian Marine Environment Protection Association) award. More News here.

    Hi,
is the ferry currently operating ? I am in Esperance at the moment and will be leaving here on the 14th of Aug. for S.A. I am thinking of using the ferry, and would like to have an idea on the cost. I have a caravan which is 16 feet including the draw bar + a Toyota Kluger which would be about 4 Mts long.

    Regards,

    Chris Watkins
